Jarrett Jack of the Portland Trail Blazers speaks to JU Elite Basketball Campers

June 6, 2007

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jarrett Jack, point guard for the Portland Trail Blazers and a former protege of JU head coach Cliff Warren, spoke at the JU Basketball Elite Camp on Saturday.

Jack, who recently completed his second year in the NBA, discussed how hard work and determination to get better landed him in the top level of professional basketball.

"I think anytime you have a NBA player come in and talk at a camp like this, it catches their attention," Warren said. "I appreciate Jarrett taking time out of his schedule to come here and talk to these young players."

The Elite Camp - a one-day skills improvement camp for talented high school players - had more than 30 players from Georgia and Florida attend.

Spots are still available for the Cliff Warren Basketball Camp from June 11-15. For more information call 256-7416.
