2008-09: Played in all 32 games as a freshman as one of the first Dolphins off the
bench...played a season-high 23 minutes at UNF (Jan. 15)...scored a season-high nine
points against USC Upstate (Feb. 1)...jump started the Dolphins comeback with five
points in the second half at Florida Gulf Coast (Jan. 25)...hit 11-of-35 from behind the arc,
connecting on 2-of-3 from behind the arc against American (Nov. 22)...had two assists in
a game seven times.
High School: A three-time letterwinner atWestover High School for head coach Dallas
Smith…ledWestover to the second round of the state playoffs all three seasons, winning
at least 24 games each season, including a 26-3 record his senior season…averaged 20
points, six rebounds and six assists his senior season to earn team MVP and best offensive
player honors…a two-time all-state, all-region and all-metro selection…averaged 17.5
points, five rebounds and four assists as a junior to earn best offensive player recognition.
Personal: A native of Albany, Ga., he is the son of Joseph Edwards and Audrey Hampton…
he has two brothers – Shataz Hampton (15) and Vernorris Edwards (22)…his most
memorable sports moment was when he hit seven 3-pointers in a game…proposed
