Men’s cross country makes progress at Invitational
Senior Andrew Maedel put together another solid race to lead the JU men’s cross country team at the Invitational on Friday night in Titusville, Fla.

Maedel ran a time of 16:45.58 to place 11th and help the Dolphins to a seventh place finish.

"We showed solid improvement,” said JU head coach Ron Grigg. “The guys just need to keep putting in the work over the next month."

Senior Gene Sarsfield was the next highest finisher after placing 35th with a time of 18:08.43. Freshman Sidney Houting was 48th with an 18:38.37, while freshman Esteban Mendez (68th) ran a time of 19:35.72. Junior Patrick Abbey (19:54.35) rounded out the day for the Dolphins.

The Dolphins return to action on Oct. 15 for the Sodexho Stetson Invitational in DeLand, Fla.
