Men’s cross country rounds out UCF Attack Challenge

The JU men’s cross country freshman core produced good performances at the UCF Attack Challenge Friday evening.

Nick Dale led the young Dolphin squad for the third straight week by running a time of 28:08.95 (27th). Andrew Merrill was 39th in 29:19.92, while Ryan Wagner followed him in 29:24.16 (40th).

“We have had lots of improvement over last week,” JU head coach Ron Grigg said. I am really happy with how the freshmen are starting to figure it out.”

Will Tirado (33:58.79, 68th) and James Trebilcock (34:49.36, 71st) rounded out the rest of the group.

The Dolphins will use the next two weeks to train for the A-Sun Championships on Oct. 27 in Ft Meyers, Fla.
