A native of Texas, Poth had a stellar amateur career that led to her collegiate career at Texas A&M where she not only excelled on the golf course but in the classroom. She ingrains that same dedication, to the game of golf, her education and to the ladies in the JU golf program. "When you are student-athlete, your first responsibility is to be a student with the goal of getting your degree," Poth said. "I want our team to be top notch in everything we do. In both our golf game and school, we want to be performing at the highest level." During her career at A&M, she was a two-time recipient of the Big 12 Conference Commissioners Honor Roll and earned the prestigious GTE Scholar-Athlete Academic Achievement Award while helping the Aggies to the Big 12 conference title in 1998. Following graduation, Poth moved to Florida and spent seven years at the PGA TOUR as a producer for ShotLink - traveling to TOUR events with the task of providing real-time scoring. Off the golf course, Poth enjoys going to the beach, reading, watching football and spending quality time with friends and family. Poth graduated from A&M with a bachelor of science in kinesiology and is enrolled at JU in the sports management master's program. |
