Men’s golf tees it up at the Hayt Intercollegiate
The Jacksonville men’s golf team returns to the links on Sunday with the first round of the John Hayt Intercollegiate at the Sawgrass Country Club.

Leading the Dolphins into the 15-team event is junior Jamey Salmon. Salmon is coming off a solid start to his spring season, including a top five finish at the Sea Best Invitational on the PLAYERS Stadium Course at the TPC at Sawgrass.

Headlining the field is nationally ranked powers such as Arkansas, Tennessee, LSU and UAB.

“The guys have had some good rounds in qualifying and have some confidence playing this golf course,” said JU head coach Mike Blackburn. “We know that we’re capable of putting some good scores together, it’s just a matter of being patient and taking it one shot at a time.”

Jacksonville tees off on Sunday morning at 9:03 a.m. on the 10th tee, playing with Furman and North Texas. Fans can follow the action with live scoring from Golfstat.com.
