JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Dolphin junior Colin Monagle (Jacksonville, Fla./ Bishop Kenny) fired a closing round 73 to win the prestigious Jacksonville Area Golf Association City Amateur Championship.

Monagle finished the event at a score of -9 under par 279 (72,68.66,73) two strokes ahead of last years champion AJ Crouch a sophomore from the University of Florida. The duo paired together in the final group were the only players in a field that included former PGA Tour player Mike Bodney (73,70,76,72 – 291) and Jacksonville Jaguar kicker Josh Scobee (75,74,75,80 – 304) to finish the 72 hole event under par.

Former Dolphin Jamey Salmon (68,69,77,75 – 289) finished at +1 over par in a tie for third.
