Men's Golf Places Fourth At Sea Trail Intercollegiate

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - JU's Patrick Nealon (Ormond Beach, Fla.) shot a six-over-par 150 (76-74) to tie for sixth as the Dolphins placed fourth out of 20 teams at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate in Sunset Beach, N.C. JU shot a two-round 614 (308-306) to finish a stroke back of host Elon (307-306=613) and four strokes behind second-place William & Mary (305-305=610). Charleston Southern won the tournament with a 10-over-par 586 (294-292).

JU senior Ben Lockwood (Tamworth, South Wales) fired a 153 (77-76) to tie for 15th, while senior Nicolas Sulzer (Geneva, Switzerland) tied for 32nd with a 156 (77-79). Charleston Southern's Tom Schupp and Paul Reed shared individual medalist honors with a three-under-par 146, followed David Ryles of Charleston Southern and Andrew Smith of High Point in fourth with a 146, and Tim Pemberton of William & Mary who finished fifth with a 148.

The Dolphins return to action on Oct. 22-23 at the Rio Pinar/UCF Invitational in Orlando.
