Men's Golf Finishes in Tenth at Rio Pinar Intercollegiate

ORLANDO, Fla. -

Derek Jolly (Jacksonville, Fla.) shot an even-par 216 (70-74-72) to tie for 15th place with seven other participants as the Dolphins placed 10th out of 15 teams at the Rio Pinar Intercollegiate golf tournament hosted by UCF in Orlando. The Dolphins shot a 13-over-par 877 (288-292-297) as a team to finish one-stroke back of ninth-place Wofford University.

Jolly was followed by fellow teammates Patrick Nealon (t33rd), who shot a four-over par 220 (74-70-76), Ryan Busch's (t35) five-over par 221 (70-74-77), Ben Lockwood (Tamworth, New South Wales), who completed his three rounds in a tie for 45th place after shooting a seven-over-par 223(74-74-75), and Luis Rivera's (Jacksonville, Fla.) 14-over-par 65th place finish (79-77-74=230).

Campbell University won the tournament firing a 16-under-par, 848 (294-274-280), followed by Frurman University's 13-under 851 (278-284-289), Rollins College (293-283-290=866), West Florida (285-289-293=867), and Florida Gulf Coast (296-293-281=870) to round out the top five.

Campbell's Simon Dunn won the individual title shooting a 15-under-201(70-64-67), followed by his Campbell teammate Braxton Wynns, who shot a eight-under-par 138 (72-68-68=208).
