Ben Lockwood Takes the Title at The Citadel Invitational

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. - For the second time in as many tournaments, Jacksonville's Ben Lockwood (Tamworth, New South Wales) came away with the individual crown as he won the The Citadel Invitational Tuesday at Pine Forrest Country Club in Summerville, S.C. Lockwood fired a four-under par 140 (70-70) and won a playoff round to claim his third win of the year. The Dolphins also put together a solid team performance, finishing second, after falling in a playoff round, shooting a 30-over par 591 (296-295), behind first place Elon University.

Patrick Nealon (Ormond Beach, Fla.) and Will Morgan (Holy Port, England) fired an identical five-over 175 (75-74) to finish in a three-way tie for 10th, while Louis Rivera (Jacksonville, Fla.) shot a 9-over 153 (76-77) to finish in a tie for 22nd place. Ryan Busch shot a 15-over par 159 to finish in a tie for 42nd to round out the Dolphin's scorers.

Elon University won the tournament, firing shooting a 30-over par 591 (295-296), after outlasting the Dolphins in the playoff round. The Dolphins finished in second, followed by South Carolina, Charleston Southern and Gardner-Webb.
