Men's Golf Places 12th At CSU Fall Invitational

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Freshmen Russell Knox (Inverness, Scotland) and Duncan Stewart (Moray Shire, Scotland) each shot a 6-over-par 148 to tie for 24th overall as JU finished 12th out of 15 teams at the CSU Fall Invitational. The Dolphins fired a 615 (304-311) on the par-71, 6,518-yard Coosaw Creek course.

Freshman Jamie Kennedy (Edinburgh, Scotland) shot a 154 (75-79) to tie for 44th, while freshman Seiji Hirai (Hagerstown, Mass.) fired a 165 (80-85) to place 72nd for the Dolphins.

The Citadel shot a 577 to win the tournament, followed by host Charleston Southern (582) and Davidson (585). Mercer and Florida Atlantic both shot a 586 to tie for fourth. Robert Dinwiddie of Tennessee State shot a 4-under-par 138 (67-71) to earn individual medallist honors.

JU returns to action when it competes at the Stetson/Southridge Fall College Tournament in DeLand, Nov. 9-11.
