Men's Golf Finishes Sixth at Stetson Spring Invitational

DeLAND, Fla. - JU freshman Russell Knox (Inverness, Scotland) fired a two-round 161 (79-83) to finish in a tie for 16th as the Dolphins shot a 649 (320-329) to place sixth at the Stetson Spring Invitational in DeLand, Fla. Campbell shot a 606 (300-306) to win the tourney on the par-72, 6,854-yard course at the Victoria Hills Golf Club. Stetson's Scott Giles fired a 3-over 147 (71-76) to earn individual medallist honors.
Dolphin freshman Seaji Haria (Hagerstown, Md.) shot a 163 (85-78) to finish in a tie for 20th along with fellow freshman Jamie Kennedy (Edinburgh, Scotland), who also fired 163 (79-84). Other JU participants included sophomore Mattias Eriksson (Landskrona, Sweden), who shot a 164 (79-85) to finish in a tie for 23rd, and sophomore Brian Blackburn (Jacksonville/Orange Park), who fired a 168 (84-84) in his second collegiate tournament.
The Dolphins return to action at the Atlantic Sun Championship April 19-21 in Buies Creek, N.C.
