Russell Knox named to GCAA All-Southeast region team

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Strong and steady all year, Russell Knox was named to the Golf Coaches' Association of America all-Southeast region team.

Knox, who finished the season ranked 12th in the country according to GolfStat, joins the prestigious group of players throughout the Southeast.

"This is a great honor for Russell," said JU head coach Jim Taketa. "Russell played well all season long and it's great to see that he's recognized as one of the top players in a very deep and talented region."

A junior from Inverness, Scotland, Knox put up a top 20 finish in all eight events that he played, including five top five finishes. Duncan Stewart and Knox tied for the Atlantic Sun Conference individual championship, shattering the A-Sun scoring record at 13-under par.
