JU men’s lacrosse tops Providence for Matt Kerwick’s 100th win, 9-4
The JU men’s lacrosse team scored early and often in the first half to down Providence, 9-4, on a chilly night at the Ashley Sports Complex.
The Dolphins (3-3) had to endure long possessions from the Friars (0-2) as the visitors slowed the game to a near standstill for three quarters. A dominate ground ball performance (45-23) helped lead the home side to grab head coach Matt Kerwick’s 100th win in Division I play.

April 24, 2008 - JU announces the creation of a men's and women's lacrosse program.
2008-09 - Fund raising, Facility planning, Secure league affiliation, Hire coaching staff, recruit and sign student-athletes, purchase lacrosse equipment
2009-10- Dolphin lacrosse makes its premiere (teams may not play more than five exhibition matches during the fall. Spring season consists of 17 dates beginning in February.) |
