Men's lacrosse gearing up for fall scrimmages

The lacrosse world will get its first chance to see the JU men’s lacrosse team in action this fall during several scrimmages on the campus of Jacksonville University.

In this monthly interview leading up to the first ever Division I lacrosse contest played at JU, we take a look at the importance of fall scrimmages for a brand new team and the benefits that accompany it.

“We see scrimmages as vital to the chemistry of the team,” said head coach Matt Kerwick. “It’s nice to be able to go out and play in an atmosphere that feels more like a real game and less like practice. We still have a ways to go but these fall ball games will really help us get there."

The Dolphins will face a team of professional players on Oct. 24. Announcement of the game time and participants will be released shortly, check back with judolphins.com for updates.
