JU men offering free post game lacrosse clinic Saturday
The JU men’s lacrosse team will be playing host to a free youth skills clinic following its season-opening game Saturday against Towson.

The game begins at 1 p.m. on the campus’ D. B. Milne Field and admission is free.

“We appreciate every opportunity to work with the youth of the community,’’ head coach Guy Van Arsdale said. “It’s our way of thanking them for the valuable support we receive.’’

Van Arsdale and assistant coaches Jake Baxter and Brock Armour along with several players will participate in the clinic in which kids will be able to learn a variety of playing skills.

“Our players really like working with the kids and many of them coach in youth leagues throughout the year,’’ Van Arsdale. “It’s as fun for them as it is the kids.’’

While admission to the Towson game is free, fans will be able to purchase tickets to the upcoming Moe’s Southwest Classic Feb. 19 at EverBank Field.

The two-game classic features fifth-ranked Denver going against Ohio State at 2 p.m. followed by JU taking on Navy.
