JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Shovels are in the ground! Construction on the D.B. Milne Field Stadium Enhancement began last week. A 2,500 seat grandstand addition, state-of-the-art press box building, along with new concessions and bathrooms will benefit football, lacrosse and track and intramurals. In addition lights and a new scoreboard will also be part of the new additions.

The project was funded in total by private donations. The feasibility study was done by renowned architect Fred Krenson of Rosser International and refined by McMillan Pazden Smith and Glen Dasher. The contractor is Perry McCall.

Completion of the project is expected for the fall of 2014 before the football home opener on Sept. 13 against San Diego.
