AS A SOPHOMORE (2011): Appeared in 11 games as a reserve…collected 10 ground balls and caused four turnovers primarily as a defenseman…posted four games with multiple ground balls…had a strong effort against the defending-champion Duke Blue Devils, notching two ground balls and a caused turnover (4/30)…did not commit a single turnover all season, finishing plus-4…collected two ground balls and caused one turnover in a conference game at Manhattan (4/2)…also has two ground balls at Mount St. Mary’s (3/13).


AS A FRESHMAN (2010): Played in 12 games, starting 11…utilized as a defenseman, collected 14 ground balls…caused five turnovers…compiled a season-high three ground balls and finished with two turnovers against Bucknell (3/16)…had four games where he finished with multiple ground balls…avoided being penalized for the entire season…forced two turnovers in a win over Providence (3/5).


HIGH SCHOOL: Started one year at Salisbury School for head coach Bobby Wynne…missed most of senior season with a broken collar bone…as a sophomore, earned first team all-conference…also played three years of football for New Hanover High on the defensive side…earned five varsity letters total while in high school.


PERSONAL: Born June 20, 1990 in Wilmington, N.C...son of L.J. and Brenda…has a brother, Joseph, and a sister, Christina…father L.J. played baseball for the UNC Tar Heels…member of his high school honor roll…proposed academic major is business administration.
