MROW Earns MAAC Boat of the Week

EDISON, N.J. - MAAC accomplishments continue to row in for the Jacksonville University men’s rowing program. On Wednesday, the league announced the Dolphins Varsity Four crew as the Boat of the Week.

Rowing in their SIRA semifinal heat, the V4 cruised to a second place finish in 7:09.7 and a differential of less than a second nipped the crew out of the medal standings in the finals.The College of Charleston outpaced the other crews in 6:59.6 and was followed by Duke (7:01.5), Georgia Tech (7:05.0), and JU (7:05.8). Marissa Chodrow coxed the boat and it seated Erik Fournier, Andrew Bechtold, Shane Kennedy, and Troy Troupe.

This weekend, the men’s and women’s programs will join Fairfield, Drake, Marist, and Stetson in the MAAC Championships on Saturday, April 26 at Lake Mercer in West Windsor, New Jersey.
