As a junior, he sat in the Varsity 8…was a part of the squad which became the first JU V8 boat to be invited to the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championship in Camden County, N.J…earned gold and was nominated for Row2K “Crew of the Week” after defeating No. 19 Temple at the Murphy Cup…earned a gold with the V8 and silver with the Pair to help the men’s squad earn its fourth straight points trophy at FIRA’s…also helped the V8 to the Grand Final at SIRA’s and Dad Vails…in the fall, he rowed with the Championship 8 and earned gold at the Head of the Hooch, the Head of the South and First Coast Head Race.
2009: As a sophomore, he sat in the six seat with the Junior Varsity 8 and was a member of the Dad Vail silver medal squad…also took home gold at FIRA’s and silver at SIRA’s…in the winter, he won overall Lightweight title and three overall open lightweight titles at Southern Sprints indoor rowing competition in Melbourne, Fla...in the fall, he sat in the two seat with the Lightweight 8 and won gold at the Head of the Hooch and the Head of the South…also competed on the JU men’s cross country team.
2008: As a freshman, he sat in the two seat with the Freshman 8 and won gold at FIRA’s…he also sat in the two seat with the Freshman 4 and took home silver at SIRA’s…in the fall, he sat in the two seat with the F8 and took home gold at the Head of the Hooch and silver at the Head of the South…earned academic all-conference honors.
HS: Four-year letterwinner in rowing at the two seat and stroke for Mainland Regional High School…as a junior, he helped the Junior Varsity 8 place second in the state championships.
