JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The JU men's soccer team travels to Boca Raton, Fla. to take on Florida Atlantic at 7 p.m. on Friday in the 2007 regular season finale.

The Dolphins, who recently clinched the first Atlantic Sun regular season championship in their history, play in their final match before they open to the A-Sun tournament on Nov. 15.

"We want to finish on a good note," said JU head coach Mike Johnson. "FAU won the Atlantic Sun Soccer championship and are the favorites to get into the NCAA Tournament, so we are going to treat it as a tournament game. Being on the road is always a challenge and we are going to look to build momentum going into next week and the tournament."

Senior forward Anton Axelsson is leading the A-Sun with 15 goals and 34 points and was named to ESPN The Magazine's academic all-district first team. Senior defender Austin Earl was named to the second team.

Florida Atlantic won the Atlantic Soccer Conference regular season title after going 4-0-1 during conference play. Three juniors - midfielders Liam Ogle and Igor Santos and forward Shire Standnes, are the top scorers for the Owls this season. Sophomore goalkeeper Phillip Lamarre has been named ASC "Goalkeeper of the Week" on two occasions this season and has been solid in the net for head coach Kos Donev's squad.

The Dolphins kick off the 2007 A-Sun Tournament on Thursday in DeLand, Fla. and will face the winner of the No. 4 Lipscomb and No. 5 Belmont matchup that will be played on Wednesday.
