Senior midfielder Ramak Niakan Safi has earned four honors in the last two weeks
The awards just keep coming to senior midfielder Ramak Niakan Safi as he was named to the College Soccer News “National Team of the Week” by their website on Wednesday.

Niakan Safi earns the honor by scoring two goals, including the game-winner in the 89th minute, in the A-Sun Championship win over No. 1 seed Campbell on Nov. 15. He is the first Dolphin to receive this honor since Anton Axelsson last season.

“Remmy has had a fantastic last few weeks,” said JU head coach Mike Johnson. “He had been clutch in certain situations over the last three weeks, which has helped him also earn all-conference, all-tournament and tournament MVP accolades. He definitely deserves this honor as well.”

Niankan Safi currently leads the team with a career-best nine goals and 20 points in 19 matches. He has scored six goals in the last four JU wins. Earlier this season, Niakan Safi a pair of goal and had an assist in JU’s 3-0 win over Presbyterian at the adidas/Gamecock Classic to be named A-Sun Offensive “Player of the Week” on Sept. 15.

Niakan Safi and the Dolphins head to Kentucky to face Louisville in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday at 7 p.m.
