JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Taking a brief pause in A-Sun play, the Jacksonville University men’s soccer team travels to Statesboro on Tuesday, Oct. 22 to face a familiar foe in Georgia Southern.

"This is an important game for us as we look to build off our last performance,” said Head Coach Ryan Pratt. “I know our guys will be eager to rebound and put together a good solid game on Tuesday night”.

The Eagles will have a tough time breaking up what has turned into a dynamic duo for the Fins in sophomore forward Nathan Dalton and reigning Atlantic Sun Player of the Week Guilherme Brandao. Splitting last week’s matches with a win over USC Upstate and a loss to ETSU, Dalton and Brandao were involved in all three scoring plays. For his efforts, Dalton now sits behind junior forward Matheus Saroli with three goals on the season while Brandao has chipped in one with two assists.

In their final non-conference match of the season JU will see some stiff competition from Southern Conference’s GSU (5-8-0). The team is coming off of a shutout victory over Appalachian State and will look to quiet the Dolphins in their final home game of the 2013 season.  Senior forward Witt Carlisle leads the team with four goals while senior midfielder Hunter Norton and sophomore forward Eric Dinka each add three.
