The Jacksonville University men's soccer team scored three goals in the final 15 minutes of play to shut-out Trans America Athletic Conference opponent Georgia State, 3-0, Thursday afternoon at the GSU Soccer Complex.

With the win, the Dolphins improve their record to 4-3-0 overall and 1-0-0 in TAAC play. The victory extends the Dolphins' winning streak to four matches. The loss drops the Panthers to 4-5-0 on the year, 1-1-0 in league play. Senior goalkeeper Petar Popovic (Belgrade, Yugoslavia) had seven saves in the Dolphins' first shut-out of the season.

The two teams were knotted in a scoreless tie until senior forward Mladen Dikic (Lovran, Croatia) headed in a cross from junior midfielder Hope Chiota (Harare, Zimbabwe) at 75:40 for his TAAC-leading sixth goal of the season. Dikic's second goal of the match came just eight minutes later on an assist by freshman forward Hamdy Bonin (Lower Caldecote, England). Bonin added the final goal, a 20-yard shot inside the far post, for JU at 85:03.

The Dolphins return to action Saturday, Sept. 30 when they take on TAAC opponent Mercer at 3 p.m. in Macon, Ga.
