JU sophomore forward Hamdy Bonin (Lower Caldecote, England) scored two of the Dolphins' three second-half goals as JU extended its conference unbeaten streak to five matches in Wednesday evening's 3-1 win over Florida Atlantic. With the win, the A-Sun leading Dolphins improve to 6-2-1 overall and 4-1-1in A-Sun competition. FAU drops to 4-8 overall and 3-2 in the A-Sun.

JU was outshot 20-10 in the match, but made the most of its shots, scoring on three of five second half shots. The Owls also attempted eight corner kicks to the Dolphins' one.

Bonin, the A-Sun's leading point and goal scorer, scored the first goal of the match in the 53rd minute when he took a kick from junior goalie Mike Miller (East Brunswick, N.J.), who finished the evening with eight saves, and blasted a shot past the Owl keeper to give JU the 1-0 lead. Freshman forward Richard Blackburn (Orange Park, Fla.) followed Bonin's lead less than three minutes later with his second goal of the season after taking a pass from senior midfielder Justin Lloyd (Cocoa, Fla.) and shooting it inside the left post for a 2-0 Dolphin lead. The Owls' cut the JU lead in half in the 57th minute behind Henrik Salveson's goal off a Miller deflection. Bonin put the match away with his second goal in the 58th minute when he took a pass from sophomore midfielder and A-Sun assist leader Sean Steed (Kissimmee, Fla.) and beat an FAU defender for the goal and a 3-1 lead.

The Dolphins look to continue their winning ways when they take on non-conference opponent Georgia Southern in Statesboro, Ga. on Sunday, October 21, at 2 p.m.
