JU's freshman forward Dia Hunte (Harriman Park, Trinidad Tobago) and sophomore midfielder Sean Steed (Kissimmee, Fla.) scored a goal apiece, but the JU (6-3-1) defense couldn't hold back Georgia Southern (5-8) as the Eagles scored four unanswered second half goals to come from behind and beat the Dolphins 5-2 Sunday afternoon in a non-conference match.

Georgia Southern midfielder Jeff Russell got the Eagles out to an early 1-0 lead in the ninth minute of the match after recovering a misplayed ball by the Dolphin defense to score from just outside the 18-yard box. The Dolphins then got their offense going when Hunte scored the unassisted equalizer in the 20th minute. JU took a 2-1 lead into the half when Hunte found Steed down the left side for his second goal of the season.

The Eagles tied the match at 2-2 just two minutes into the second half when forward Tony Moffat's free kick from 20 yards out curled inside the right post. Georgia Southern scored the go-ahead goal in the 59th minute when Devin Mizell scored the first of his two second-half goals, taking a crossing pass and dribbling around JU junior goalie Mike Miller (East Brunswick, N.J.), who recorded six saves, for an empty-net goal. GSU scored two more goals for the final score of 5-2 on Mizell's second score and a goal by Martin Cunningham.

The Dolphins returns to the playing field when they take on conference opponent Stetson in the final home match of the season on Thursday, October 25, at 4 p.m.
