CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Jacksonville University men's soccer team scored a season-high six goals Saturday afternoon in a shut out victory over Charleston Southern at Buccaneer Field. Sophomore Richard Blackburn (Jacksonville, Fla.) led the Dolphins scoring three-straight goals.

JU opened up the scoring late in the first half as senior Steve Command (Brighton, Mich.) scored his third goal in as many games in the 40th minute. Blackburn scored his first goal of the game just before halftime in the 44th minute on a penalty kick to give the Dolphins a 2-0 lead.

In the second half, Blackburn put the Dolphins ahead 3-0 in the 53rd minute and scored again four minutes later off a cross from Sean Steed (Kissimmee, Fla.) to make the score 4-0. Hans Guiscardo (Montivideo, Uruguay) scored his first goal of the season in the 71st minute and Brian Blackburn (Jacksonville, Fla.) closed out the scoring in the 87th minute. JU keeper Greg Williams (Hopewell, N.Y.) made two saves in recording his second shut out of the season.

The Dolphins (3-2-1) return to action when they host Georgia Southern on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 5 p.m. at the Ashley Sports Complex.
