JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - JU sophomore forward Richard Blackburn (Jacksonville, Fla.) had two assists and a goal to lead the Dolphins to a 3-0 victory over Gardner-Webb in Atlantic Sun action Monday at the Ashley Sports Complex. Blackburn has two goals and five assists in the Dolphins' last two conference wins. JU improves 7-4-1 overall, 3-1 in Atlantic Sun play.

Freshman Dustin Sawyer (Bunnell, Fla.) found a streaking Blackburn down the middle of the field with a lofted pass and Blackburn sent the ball past Bulldogs' keeper Rio Oros for the early 1-0 lead in the 13th minute. Blackburn assisted on freshman Dion Jagroo's (Orlando, Fla.) first collegiate goal in the 36th minute as Jagroo made a nice move near the left end line and lofted a perfect shot over Oros' head. Freshman Jason Alicea (Orlando, Fla.) gave the Dolphins a 3-0 lead just before the half, taking a pass from Blackburn inside the box and beating the Bulldogs' keeper to the far post in the 44th minute.

JU keeper Greg Williams (Hopewell, N.Y.) made two saves en route to his fourth shutout of the season.

The Dolphins return to action on Friday as they travel to Atlanta, Ga., to take on the Georgia State Panthers at 3 p.m.
