ORLANDO, Fla. - Junior forward Ryan Potts (Winter Park, Fla.) scored with eight seconds left in regulation to force overtime for JU (1-6-2, 0-1 A-Sun), but UCF answered when Chris Crissy scored less than two minutes into double-overtime as the Dolphins fell to the Knights, 3-2, Friday night in their A-Sun opener in Orlando. Potts added an assist on the day to lead JU, while junior midfielder Fabian Reissner (Berlin, Germany) tallied his first goal of the season as the Dolphins overcame a two-goal deficit in the second half.

UCF (5-2-2, 1-0 A-Sun) got on the board in the 50th minute as Alejandro Gessen scored off a pass from Crissy to make it 1-0. The Knights added another score in the 70th minute as Eric Vasquez tallied an unassisted goal.

The Dolphins began their rally in the 76th minute when Reissner scored off a pass from Potts, who was taking a free kick, making it 2-1. With just eight seconds remaining in regulation, Potts scored the game-tying goal, with junior Richard Blackburn (Jacksonville/Orange Park) being credited for the assist. Crissy scored the game-winner in the 102nd minute as he received a header pass from Brian Malec, which was redirected from a corner kick by Billy Judino.

Senior Mike Miller (East Brunswick, N.J.) made eight saves for JU, while Ryan McIntosh collected four saves for UCF.

The Dolphins return to action when they play at A-Sun opponent Florida Atlantic on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
