BOCA RATON, Fla. - Freshman forward Tommy Krizanovic (Jacksonville/Englewood) tied the game at 1-1 early in the second half before Florida Atlantic answered with a pair of goals to defeat the Dolphins, 3-1, Sunday night in Boca Raton. Senior Mike Miller (East Brunswick, N.J.) made eight saves for JU, which falls to 1-7-2 overall, and 0-2 in the A-Sun. Kristoffer Aarskog led FAU with a pair of goals, as the Owls improve to 5-5-1, and 2-0 in conference play.

FAU had the lone goal of the first half as Josh Garbee received a pass from Gustavo Alencar in the 15th minute and scored, giving the Owls a 1-0 halftime lead.

The Dolphins tied the game just 15 seconds into the second half when Krizanovic took a shot from the top of the key and scored on the play. Junior Richard Blackburn (Jacksonville/Orange Park) and freshman Tyler Stansberry (McAllen, Texas) were each credited with the assist.

Aarskog scored the first of two goals in the 58th minute when he dribbled around the keeper and banged the ball into the net, giving FAU a 2-1 lead. Aarskog then received a long pass from Bjorn Totland and netted a goal to seal the win for the Owls.

The Dolphins return to action when they host A-Sun opponent Campbell on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 4:00 p.m.
