JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Senior goalkeeper Greg Williams (Hopewell, N.Y.) recorded eight saves to earn his third shutout of the season as the Dolphins played Georgia State to a, 0-0, double overtime tie Friday afternoon in A-Sun men's soccer action at the Ashley Sports Complex. This marks the first time that JU has played to a 0-0 tie since tying Campbell on Sept. 29, 2001. The Dolphins are now 3-9-3 overall, 2-4-1 in the A-Sun, while Georgia State is 7-4-2, and 3-2-1 in the conference.

Georgia State held an 8-7 advantage in shots on goal and corner kicks, but both teams missed key opportunities to score. JU had a final chance to score with 30 seconds remaining in the second overtime when junior forward Richard Blackburn (Jacksonville/Orange Park) sent a corner kick, which was knocked out of the offensive zone by Georgia State. The Panthers attempted 21 shots in all, while JU fired 15.

J.B. Wood of Georgia State also played the entire match in goal and collected seven saves.

The Dolphins return to action when they host Mercer for Senior Day on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 3:30 p.m.
