Men's Soccer knocks off Gonzaga, 3-2

Junior Tommy Krizanovic scores two goals to help the Jacksonville men's soccer team defeat Gonzaga, 3-2, Friday night at the Gonzaga Nike Classic in Spokane, Wash.

The Bulldogs (2-3-1) scored first from George Gon Josten scoring on a one-touch pass from five yards out less than ten minutes into the first half.

The Dolphins (4-3-0) tied the game around 25-minute mark by sophomore Anton Axelsson scoring from the left wing with an assist from freshman Jonathon Jackson. The Dolphins took the lead three minutes later with Axelsson dishing an assist to Krizanovic who beat the goalie to score.

Krizanovic added his ninth goal of the season in the second half by scoring off an rebound with another assist by Jackson around the 16-minute frame. Krizanovic now has four multi-goal scoring games this season.

Gon Josten scored at late goal for the Bulldogs with two minutes remaining, but the Dolphins fought off the late rally for the win.

Freshman goalie Seamus Kehoe had three saves in his first collegiate start.

The Dolphins wrap up the tournament on Sunday at noon against Oregon State.
