Men's soccer loses late to Oregon State, 4-3

SPOKANE, Wash. - Oregon State scored a goal with less than a minute remaining in the game to defeat the Jacksonville men's soccer team, 4-3, Sunday afternoon at the Gonzaga Nike Classic in Spokane Wash.
With 59-seconds remaining in the game and the score deadlocked at 3-3, Nick Webb scored on a cross from the left side to give the Beavers (4-2-4) the victory.
The Dolphins (4-4-0) jumped to an early 2-0 lead in the first half. Freshman Jonathon Jackson scored his second goal of the season by slipping past a defender and scoring from the left post at the 45-minute mark with an assist from senior Brian Blackburn. At 34:51, sophomore Anton Axelsson added his second goal of the tournament by scoring from eight yards out by an assist from junior Tommy Krizanovic.
Brett Johnson scored a two goals to tie the game for the Beavers. The Beavers went ahead, 3-2, at the 41st-minute of the second half, but sophomore Brian Cocciolo scored his first goal of the season with an assist from freshman Akeem Priestley to tie the game.
Freshman goalie Seamus Kehoe recorded 12 saves in his second collegiate start for the Dolphins.
The Dolphins open the Atlantic Sun conference schedule at home this Thursday against Campbell at 7 p.m.
