Men's soccer falls in Atlantic Sun opener to Campbell, 3-2

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- - Junior Tommy Krizanovic and freshman Akeem Priestley both scored goals, but Campbell scored off two goalie deflections to pull past the Jacksonville men's soccer team, 3-2, Thursday night at the Ashley Sports Complex.

Priestley put the Dolphins (4-5-0, 0-1 A-Sun) on the board five minutes into the first half when he scored from 20-yards out with an assist from sophomore Anton Axelsson.

Campbell (5-2-1, 1-0 A-Sun) tied the game at the nine minute mark in the first half when Julian Fulton scored from an assist from Sonny Guadarrma.

Krizanovic scored his 10th goal of season off a goalie deflection to give the Dolphins the 2-1 lead at 35-minute mark in the second half, but Campbell's Willy Guadarrama also scored off a goalie deflection to tie the game 50 seconds later.

With 11 minutes remaining, Dolphin freshman goalie Seamus Kehoe made a diving save on a shot, but the ball slipped slightly out of his hands and Sonny Guadarrma took advantage of the slip to knock in the game winner for the Camels.

The Dolphins play at home on Saturday against Gardner-Webb starting at 2 p.m.
