Men's soccer loses in double overtime to Florida Atlantic, 2-1

BOCA RATON, Fla.- - Freshman Akeem Priestley scored a goal with one second remaining to force overtime, but Florida Atlantic scored a goal in the second overtime to outlast the Jacksonville men's soccer team, 2-1, Sunday afternoon in Bacon Raton, Fla.

Priestley scored an unassisted goal at the 89:59 mark to tie the game and give the Dolphins (5-7, 1-2 A-Sun) a chance of stealing a win in over time.

After a scoreless first overtime, Javier Carillo knocked in the game winner at 102:35 for the Owls (4-9, 1-0 A-Sun) from the far edge of the box.

JU freshman goalie Seamus Kehoe recorded nine saves in the loss.

The Dolphins return to action on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. to face Stetson in DeLand, Fla.
