JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- - On the eve of the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament, five Jacksonville men's soccer players were named to the A-Sun all-conference teams announced by the league office today.

Junior forward Tommy Krizanovic and freshman midfielder Akeem Priestley were each named to first team all-conference teams, while sophomore forward Anton Axelsson and freshman defender Patrik Werner were voted second team all-conference. Priestley and freshman midfielder Jonathon Jackson earned spots on the all-freshman team.

"I'm real proud of our guys for earning these honors," said head coach Mike Johnson. "They have worked hard all year and I'm glad to see they were rewarded."

Krizanovic, who was named first team all-conference last season, earned the honor after leading the team and ranking second in the conference with 17 goals. He wrapped up the season by scoring two goals to help the Dolphins defeat cross-town rival North Florida, 4-1, and earn their second consecutive Dennis Violett Memorial Cup.

Priestley has scored a goal in seven of the last nine games to earn his accolades. Earlier this season, he scored the game-winning goal against Belmont to clinch a berth in the A-Sun tournament for the Dolphins and earn conference "Player of the Week" honors.

Axelsson leads the team with seven assists to make his all-conference team. He opened the year scoring five goals in three games for the Dolphins who rank first in all of the conference offensive categories.

Werner started 17 games at the backline and recorded three assists, while Jackson has scored two goals and recorded five assists.

The Dolphins take on Florida Atlantic at 4 p.m., on Thursday in the first round of the A-Sun Tournament in Macon, Ga.
