Sept. 11, 2006

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Senior forward Tommy Krizanovic was named Atlantic Sun Conference Offensive "Player of the Week" for the second consecutive week after recording four goals and eight points in three games for the Jacksonville University men's soccer team.

"It's nice to see Tommy get the award two weeks in a row," said JU head coach Mike Johnson. "He has worked hard over the summer to do well is his final year and has delivered great so far. We expect him to be a leader for us when we hit our conference schedule."

On Sept. 4, Krizanovic tied a career-best with three goals to help the Dolphins down Georgia State, 4-0, and win the JU-Nike Invitational title. He tallied a goal in the Dolphins 3-2 loss against Wright State at the Ashley Sports Complex.

Krizanovic has scored nine goals this season, which ranks first in the nation. Fellow teammate, Anton Axlesson, is also in the top-five nationally with six goals.

The Dolphins travel to compete in Rock Hill, S.C. in the Wingate Inn Classic on Friday. They open with host Winthrop at 7:30 p.m. and wrap up the tournament with Radford on Saturday.
