Jan. 3, 2007

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - JU men's soccer forward Tommy Krizanovic has been invited to participate in the national Major League Soccer combine starting this Friday at Lockhart Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

Krizanovic, the reigning Atlantic Sun Conference "Player of the Year", will join 80 players during the four-day combine. MLS general managers and coaching staffs will be on hand to scout players for their 2007 SuperDraft on Friday Jan. 12 in Indianapolis, Ind. at the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Convention.

"This is a well-deserving honor for Tommy," said JU head coach Mike Johnson. "He has been one of the nation's top scores the last three seasons and he will be able to show coaches at the combine why he was in that top spot."

In 2006, Krizanovic scored a team-high 14 goals and 33 points to earn first team all-conference and NSCAA/adidas All-South second team accolades. He finished the regular season leading the nation in goals per game (1.08) and points per game (2.46).
