Jordi Ballester is in his second year on the Dolphin staff as graduate assistant for both men’s and women’s tennis.

Ballester is responsible for conducting on-court practices, assisting with coaching staff, hitting with players, coaching during matches, implementing match strategies, scouting and recruiting both national and international players, administrative duties, strength and conditioning practices and assisting in the education of student-athletes.

Ballester was a three-year letterwinner playing at the No. 1 singles position for the men’s tennis team while at Jacksonville University. He also earned three consecutive first team all-conference honors and earned a spot in the top 125 NCAA Division I singles rankings on January 6, 2009.

During his sophomore year at JU, Ballester became the first JU player since 2005 to earn Atlantic Sun Conference "Player of the Week" honors in the 2007 tennis campaign.

A member of the United States Tennis Association since 2008, he has also worked for the USTA as the Local Tennis Organizer running Flex Leagues in the Jacksonville area.

A native of Elche, Spain, Ballester earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science at Jacksonville University and is currently working towards his degree in Master’s of Education in sport management and leadership. Ballester resides in Jacksonville, Florida.
