JACKSONVIILE, Fla. -

The Jacksonville men's and women's tennis teams open their 2006 fall season on Saturday as the Dolphins host the Hastings Invitational at the Keith Watson Family Tennis Complex.

The women's team, led by the duo of Emese Sulyos and Lena Willi, are looking to build upon a strong season a year ago. Sulyos was 15-1 in the spring and enters the weekend having won 13 straight matches.

Willi is coming off an impressive season as well, going 12-2 for JU and enters the fall having won 10 straight.

"We are excited about getting our fall season started," said JU head coach Jared Camerota. "We've had some good practices so far and this tournament will give us some direction as to where we need to improve in the fall season."

The Dolphins men's team will feature plenty of new faces. Jordi Ballester and Ernesto Ramos will look to get off to a good start along with three returning players from last year - Marcos Oliveira, Clay and Cory Garrett.

The tournament starts Saturday with first serve set for 9 a.m. The tournament will conclude with championship matches on Sunday. JUDolphins.com will update regularly throughout the tournament with results.

Special thanks goes to Best Western for serving as the host hotel and Turtle Market for sponsoring the lunch on Sunday.
