Men's Tennis downs Mercer 6-1

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Dolphins (3-2, 1-1 A-Sun) overpowered conference rival Mercer (4-3, 1-2 A-Sun) on Saturday.

The Jacksonville men's tennis team swept the doubles matches and won five out of six singles matches to defeat Mercer 6-1 on Saturday Afternoon.

No. 1 seed Jordi Ballester defeated Tobias Ohrstrom 6-3, 7-5 and at the No. 2 singles position Francisco Riveroll was victorious against Patrick Russo 7-6(5), 6-4. Victor Vaz also picked a victory at No. 3 singles defeating Mario Gil 6-1, 6-4. Ernesto Ramos won at the No. 4 singles position defeating Matthew 6-1, 6-3 and Marcos Oliveira was successful at the No. 6 singles position defeating Doug Stutsman 6-2, 6-2.

The Dolphins return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 28th at home against Stetson at 2 p.m.
