Men's Tennis knocks off Lafayette 6-0

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Dolphins (9-4, 1-3 A-Sun) overpowering play against Lafayette led to a sixth consecutive victory at the Keith Watson Family Tennis Complex on Saturday.

"We did what we had to do and Cory Garrett got a good win today," said head coach Jarod Camerota. "Now we need to rest and be ready for Gardner Webb on Tuesday."

No. 1 seed Jordi Ballester defeated Eric Wiley 6-0, 6-1and at the No. 2 singles position Francisco Riveroll was victorious against Matt Mcgranaghan 6-2, 6-1.

Victor Vaz also had a strong win at No. 3 singles defeating Steven Benezra 6-1, 6-1. Ernesto Ramos won at the No. 4 singles position defeating James Murphy 6-0, 6-1.

At No. 5 singles Marcos Oliveira downed Chris Chartier-Cotter 6-1, 6-1and Cory Garrett was successful at the No. 6 singles position defeating Matt Rush 6-2, 6-2.

The Dolphins will face conference foe Gardner Webb next on Tuesday March 20th at 1 p.m.
