Men's Tennis falls to Gardner-Webb 4-3

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Dolphins (9-5, 1-4 A-Sun) fall to conference rival Gardner Webb 4-3 in a hard fought match in Boiling Springs, NC on Tuesday afternoon.

No. 1 seed Jordi Ballester defeated Evgeny Selesarev 6-2, 6-3 and at the No. 2 singles position Francisco Riveroll picked up a victory against Roberto Vasques 6-1, 6-2.

Victor Vaz also had a good win at No. 3 singles defeating Kim Ellis 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.

The Dolphins lost the doubles point, but Victor Vaz and Jordi Ballester defeated Kim Ellis and Rafael Altmeyer 8-3 at No. 2 doubles.

The Dolphins will face conference foe East Tennessee State next on the road on Wednesday at 12 p.m.
