Game time: The Jacksonville women's basketball team will face Jacksonville State Saturday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. at the Pete Mathes Coliseum in Jacksonville, Ala., in the first of a two-game road trip. The game is also the first of a doubleheader Saturday with the JU men taking on the Gamecocks as well at 8 p.m.

Next up: The Dolphins travel to Birmingham on Monday to face Samford at 7 p.m. (CST) at Seibert Hall.

Hitting the boards: Junior forward Kat Sungy (Arvada, Colo.) currently leads the A-Sun and ranks 16th in the nation with 10.4 rebounds per game. Freshman center Kara Donnell (Mattoon, Ill.), who is currently out with a foot injury, ranks second in the league with 9.9 boards per contest. The Dolphins have outrebounded their opponent in 15 of 19 games this season, including back-to-back school records of 64 rebounds against Savannah State on Dec. 19 and 68 boards against South Florida on Dec. 30.

On the shelf: Six Dolphins have missed a combined 46 games this season due to injury. On this trip JU will be without the services of center Kara Donnell (foot-fracture) and guards Yvette Jackson (femur-fracture), Lexie Richards (both legs-stress fractures), Dee Cummings (knee-torn ACL) and Gemma McInally (knee-torn ACL).
