Yolisha Jackson Tabbed Atlantic Sun Women's Basketball Player of the Week

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville sophomore forward Yolisha Jackson (Clarksville, Tenn.) was selected Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week after scoring 20 points in back-to-back games - the fourth time in five games - to lead the Dolphins to an upset victory over first-place Florida Atlantic on Saturday.

In two games this past weekend, Jackson averaged 20.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and dished out three assists, blocked four shots and made four steals. She shot 41.9 percent (13-of-31) from the field and was a perfect 14-of-14 from the free throw line.

Jackson scored 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting, grabbed four rebounds and blocked a career-high three shots in the Dolphins' 75-69 victory over FAU, snapping a 15-game road losing streak. Against UCF on Thursday, she led all scorers with 20 points, pulled down a game-high nine boards and had three steals.

Jackson currently ranks sixth in the A-Sun in scoring at 14.6 points per game, tied for 13th in the league with 6.4 rebounds and leads the team with 60 assists, 32 steals and is tied for the team lead with 16 blocked shots. She has scored in double figures in 23 of the Dolphins' 25 contests and has recorded four double-doubles this season.

The Dolphins will conclude their season by hosting Mercer on Thursday at 7 p.m. and Troy State on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Swisher Gymnasium.
