Box Score

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Junior guard Rebecca Montz (Erath, La.) had a team-high 14 points and six assists, while junior forward Yolisha Jackson (Clarksville, Tenn.) had 12 points and nine rebounds, but Courtney Boynton's game-high 22 points off six three-pointers proved too much as the Dolphins fell to Lipscomb, 67-54 Thursday night at Swisher Gymnasium. JU (3-21, 1-16) loses for the first time since its big win over Troy State last week, while Lipscomb (16-10, 13-5) climbs to second place in the A-Sun.

JU trailed 53-48 at 8:02 of the second half after Jackson hit a short jumper over the A-Sun's leading blocker, Katie Beth Pate to bring JU within five points. Lipscomb responded with a quick score, sparking a 14-2 Lady Camel run to give Lipscomb a 67-50 edge with 3:18 remaining.

In the first half the Dolphins scored early and often thanks to eight points from Montz, including two three-pointers, giving JU a 20-9 lead at 10:15 of the first half. Lipscomb responded with a 16-4 run with Boyton accounting for 10 of the Lady Camels' points, giving the visitors a 25-24 lead 3:46 before the intermission.

JU hosts Belmont on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. at Swisher Gymnasium in the final home game of the season.
