Women's Golf Places First At Coca Cola Intercollegiate

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Senior Ulrika Norden (Stockholm, Sweden) and sophomore Ashley Grier (Hagerstown, Md.) each shot an 8-over-par 152 to tie for second overall as JU finished first out of five teams at the Coca Cola Intercollegiate in Daytona Beach. The Dolphins fired a 615 (313-302) on the par-72, 5,913-yard Indigo Lakes Course.

Stetson shot a 628 to finish second, followed by host Bethune-Cookman (630), Jackson State (663) and The Citadel (688). Maria Dunne of Bethune-Cookman shot a 6-over-par 150 (73-77) to earn individual medallist honors.

Junior Pamela Shelley (Alachua, Fla.) fired a 157 (81-76) to finish seventh, while senior Winnie Dorminey (Jacksonville/Wolfson) shot a 160 (83-77) to place 11th for the Dolphins.

The Dolphins have completed their fall season and return to action at the UCF Spring Tournament in Orlando, Feb. 9-10.
