Women's Golf Finishes Sixth at Coca-Cola C2 Invitational

WOODRUFF, S.C. - Senior Pamela Shelley (Alachua, Fla.) shot a 16-over-par 160 (82-78) to finish in 10th place as the Dolphins fired a 676 (345-331) to finish sixth at the Coca-Cola C2 Invitational hosted by Wofford College. The host Terriers took the team title by six strokes, shooting 627 (310-317) on the par-72, 5,088-yard course at the Three Pines Country Club in Woodruff, S.C. Gardner-Webb's Tara Watt carded a five-over 149 (76-73) for individual medalist honors.

Dolphin senior Melissa Holland (Jacksonville/First Coast) shot a 166 (83-83) to finish 17th, while freshman Heather Fudge (Prince Edward Island, Canada) tied for 18th after shooting 168 (85-83) over the 36 hole tournament. Freshman Jennifer Sills (Cedar Park, Texas) placed 27th with her score of 182 (95-87).

The Dolphins return to action in their final fall tournament on Oct. 18-19 at the Hatter Fall Classic.
