Women's Golf Finishes Ninth at Hatter Fall Classic

DELAND, Fla. - Freshman Heather Fudge (Prince Edward Island, Canada) shot a 14-over-par 158 (79-79) to tie for 21st place as the Dolphins fired a 656 (330-326) to finish ninth at the Hatter Fall Classic in their final fall tournament, hosted by Stetson University. Atlantic Sun rival Campbell took the team title with a score of 588 (295-293) on the par-72, 5,963-yard course at the Victoria Hills Golf Club in DeLand, Fla. Georgia State's Lisbeth Meincke won individual medalist honors by three strokes carding a two-under 142 (72-70).

Dolphin senior Melissa Holland (Jacksonville/First Coast) fired a 162 (82-80) to tie for 30th, while senior Pamela Shelley (Alachua, Fla.) tied for 37th after shooting a 164 (81-83) over the two-day event. Freshman Jennifer Sills (Cedar Park, Texas) placed in a tie for 52nd with her score of 172 (88-84).

The Dolphins start the spring season on February 26-27 at the Bethune-Cookman Invitational in Daytona Beach, Fla.
