Women's Golf Places 14th at Ryder State Collegiate Championships

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. - Senior Pamela Shelley (Alachua, Fla.) fired a 255 (85-83-87) to tie for 58th as the Dolphins shot a 1070 (361-357-352) to finish 14th at the Ryder State Women's Collegiate Championship. Miami swept the titles, taking the team championship by one stroke over USF and Florida State with a 912 score (294-307-311) on the par-72 6,317-yard course at Don Shula's Golf Resort in Miami Lakes, Fla. The Hurricanes' Tina Miller won medalist honors, carding a 222 (70-75-77) during the three-day event.

Freshman Heather Fudge (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) ranked second for the Dolphins, shooting a 262 (87-88-87) to come in 63rd, while senior Melissa Holland (Jacksonville, Fla./First Coast) tied for 66th by carding a 266 (90-89-87). Freshman Jennifer Sills (Cedar Park, Texas) finished 70th with her score of 287 (99-97-91), with junior Kristen Yeomans (Coral Springs, Fla.) shooting a 315 (108-101-106) to rank 71st.

JU closes out the season on April 11-12 at the Atlantic Sun Championships in DeLand, Fla.
